FLIBS Fishing Report 10-29-23
Fishing during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show can be difficult, but with a little patience you can find some quality fish. Even with all the boat traffic there’s still a good amount of bait hanging around at the usual spots and the tarpon and snook still gotta eat. Heavy winds and mega yachts kicked up the inlet to an almost unfishable condition but just inside we found some calmer waters to concentrate on. Falling tides made for some good action on tarpon and sunset was the perfect time to land this beautiful snook on live mullet. Take your time, move around, be patient and that work will pay off. Don’t let the boat show get you down! Get out here and land that trophy.
